This weeks been a bit of a hard one. Been rammed at the gym with me now taken control becoming health and fitness manager as well as trying to keep on top of Pulse too. ]
So whats new, Training at the Batchwood sports centre which you have seen in previous posts. This is from quitting AnyTime Fitness in Hemel, the gym was being badly managed and the group decided to leave. So I'm training there at the moment until i decided to move else where.
Pulse is having a turning around, i'm completely updating the website, I'm going to incorporate it into more of a forum for competitors, but also push things like online training as well as down loadable packages which will give people a chance to buy and follow the progress.
From this also we have the new clothing line going on launch so email me if you'd like to get involved with the clothing representing pulse, especially if your competing it would be great to have you wearing them. Really want to support people who are coming into the competition line, and help them on their way to success.

This morning was first time I have done fasted cardio or any type of cardio for that matter, since before I went to Marbella.
I got up this morning straight down to an empty gym (Anytime Fitness Leighton Buzzard) jumped on the bike and pedalled away watching top gear. 45 minutes went and i had burned 700 calories. Now to home to eat a healthy high protein breakfast.

So what is 'Fasted Cardio'?
Fasted Cardio is training in the morning generally before you have had your breakfast meal. This gets your body to fuel your workout with the fat stored in your body. This means that you are burning the fat reducing your body fat percentage, this is a great way to slim down if you are looking to reduce body weight too. Doing this type of workout kicks your metabolism to work, and once you have finished your workout it will carry on burning calories throughout the day.
When trying to lose weight/ reduce body fat, your workout pace should be around 50-60% of your maximum heart rate. This will probably lay around 135bpm (beats per minute). Judge this if your in the gym on the heart rate monitor on the machine, if your equipment does not have this available don't worry. Aim to be constantly sweating, if you are then you are doing the right pace!

This weekend has been so busy, I haven't had anytime to stop and think it has just been all go. Friday night was taken up by heading to go and film with Elstree studios for 'Big Brothers Bit On The Side'. Started at 8 arriving there where proceeded to film with Rylan, Hazel O'Sullivan, Stacey Solomon and Lionel Blair. Was all good fun and ended up leaving about 12am and home for 2am.
Saturday was very busy with training, and a thank you dinner for a party I hosted for a charity event. This ended up into a bit more of just a dinner and ended up arriving back home for 6:30am. Sunday was spend just trying to catch up on sleep, I felt terribly sleep deprived but have caught up now thank god.

Last night got in the gym for 10pm, after having a super long day filming for Oreo. I couldn't let a shoulder session go a miss as it's my favourite session, ended up leaving at midnight.
The shoulders are such an important muscle to train. They are the most visible muscle from where ever you look. Have good shoulders gives you that wider v-shape, but don't forget to train your rear delt! Most people neglect this muscle, but this is what will give you a much fuller filled out look!
